King Midas And His Golden     Touch/Greed brings downfall

Once there lived a king named Midas.He was very rich.He was fond of gold though he had a lot of riches/wealth.But he was very greedy.He always wanted more and more gold.And he always thought about golden touch.

He said to himself,"If a had a golden touch,I would be the luckiest people."One day he was taking rest in front of his palace.He was thinking of his golden touch.He was praying to God for golden touch.Suddenly a man appeared before/came to him.He said to the king,"God has granted your prayer.From this moment,whatever you touch,will become gold."Then the man went away.

He couldn't believe his eyes what happened a few minutes  ago.He touched an apple to test the golden touch and it become gold.He then became so happy."I'm the happiest man in the world!"he said.Then he entered into the palace touched many things and they became gold.

But this thing continued.Whatever he touched,they turned into/became gold.He couldn't eat,touch,go anywhere.He was thinking about the consequences/results of golden touch.At that time,her doughter was coming towards him.When she touched her father,she turned into/became the statue of gold.At this the king started crying like a child."Take this dreadful/terrible thing away.I want my child!I'll never be greedy again."he exclaimed.

The king apologised to God for thousand times.He realized/understood the result of greed.At last the God accepted his request.The God took away his golden touch.Then he became very happy because he got his dearest doughter and greed free life.

Paragraph:Load Shedding

                  Load Shedding

Load shedding means the suspension/discontinuity/fluctuation of supply of electricity for a certain period.It has become a common/daily affair/occurence/happening in our country.There are many reasons/causes of load-shedding.Basically it occurs/happens when the production of power is comparatively less than the growing demand./The insufficient production of electricity in our country is the main cause of load shedding.Illegal connection of electricity is also responsible for load shedding. On the other hand, government is not sincere to produce electricity proportion to our demand.The consequences/results/impacts of load-shedding are beggar-description/cannot be describe in words.It creates problem in the socio-economic development of the country. Production in mills and factories decreases due to load-shedding.It also disturbs the studies of the students.It becomes serious problem when it occurs/happens during the examination.Patients also suffer a lot because operations in the hospitals are stopped due to load-shedding.Sometimes patients die for not doing operations in due time/in time.Fresh foods which are taken on refrigerator get rotten/frowzy/musty.It also hampers the overall economy of a country.The problem has been going on for a long time,but the actual solution is not seen.Illegal connection and system loss should also be stopped.The power sector must be given top-most/high  priority for its utility. The government should set up more power plants to cope with/to meet/to satisfy the current/present  demand of electricity.Besides public awareness should be created through mass media like TVs,radios,newspapers.

We have the honour to state for the following fact that our common room isn't providing us enough facilities to us./Our common room is lack of modern facilities.Our common room isn't spacious and well-furnished according to the number of students.There are no TV set,newspapers,magazines in the room.It's not providing much scope associated with/related to enjoyment and entertainment.We can't enjoy our off/leisure periods for want of indoor sports materials.Internet connection is badly needed in our common room to be connected/updated  with the changing world.

Introduction:
Man is naturally curious to know about currently happening affairs of the world.Newspaper is the best medium to satisfy this curiosity.Newspaper is a set of large sheets containing printed news, stories, information, articles, advertisements, etc. It plays a great role in keeping us up-to-date about all over the world.It tells us what is happening at home and abroad. It is the store-house of knowledge and information.

History:
The newspaper was first published in China”. the Indian Gazette” published in 1774 was the printed newspaper in the sub-continent. The first Bengali  newspaper was the Samachar Darpan which was published by the missionaries.

Kinds of newspaper:
There are various kinds/types of newspapers.They are dailies, weeklies, monthlies, quarterlies,periodicals etc.The daily newspapers contain the news of daily affairs of home and abroad.The daily Ittefaq, the Janakantha, the Dainik Bangla,The Prothom-alo,the Jugantor, the Kaler Kantho,the Bangladesh Observer and theDaily Star are the main daily newspapwrs in Bangladesh.The Bichitra, the Barttaman Dinkal and the Chaya Chanda are the main weekly magazines.

Importance/Usefulness: Newspaper plays a vital role in modern civilization.We cannot think of modern world without it.It is very useful to all sections of people.Through it we can learn about all important things what happen in the world.It conveys/gives/brings the news of market,conditions,games and sports, politics and economics, cultures etc.It highlights/gives the news of various interests and the views of important personalities.
Newspaper has an educative value too.Only bookish-knowledge is not sufficient/enough in this competitive world. A newspaper helps/enables to enrich one's general knowledge. A man who does not read newspapers is like a frog in a narrow well. Being ignorant of the current affairs,a man can’t cope with/go with the changing society/world.A student can learn a lot of things from the newspapers.

The government can circulate/publish/notify/convey the state policy through it.The learned men, the artists, the lawyers and the politicians can know many useful things by reading them.Thus they satisfy all. Newspaper mould/build/form public opinion.It also helps publicity.The teachers can keep in touch to learn their literary aspects, the scientists can learn of the recent inventions and the doctors can learn of the recently invented medicines.

Demerits:
A newspaper is not altogether free from evils. It has some demerits also. Sometimes it publishes false or  partial/biased news.It excites public feelings.Sometimes it is seen that some newspapers patronize/work for political parties.Sometimes it also spreds false/fake news also which can mislead/confuse people.It sometimes spreds hatred among the people.

Conclusion:
In spite of these demerits,newspaper is the most useful thing in modern life. We cannot think of a day without it. It is a looking glass of the modern world.The more we read newspapers,the more we acquire/can learn.So we should read Newspaper regularly.

Composition:Student Life Or,The Duties of A Student

Introduction: student life means to period of a man life which he spends in different educational institutions for acquiring knowledge. Student life is the best periods of human life. It is the life of preparation;preparation for the struggle of life. It is rightly called the seed time of human life.

Main duty: A student first and foremost duty is to study with all his devotion. He should strain all his time, energy and faculties for the cause of learning. Of course, he should not confine himself to the text-book only. He should read newspapers, magazines, novels and dramas during his leisure-period; he should also take part in the extra-curricular activities like games sports,debate ect.

Duties to parents:After creator,students are owed towards their parents, elders and teachers. Parents are responsible for their coming into the beautiful, delightful world.So they have a moral claim upon their children to perform their duties towards their parents.They should not do anything that tarnishes/spoils/destroys the image of their family.Their next duty is to their teachers because they guides the students to be successful in life.So they deserve respect and honour from the students.

Choice of career: student life is the best time for choosing a career for future. A student cannot expect to reach his desired goal of life without having a well-chosen career. He should know that an aimless life is like a ship without a raddar

Use of time: a student must make the best use of his time. He should know. ‘Time and tide wait for nine.’ And ‘a stitch in time saves nine’. He should always follow the maxim. ‘Work while you work, play while you play.’

Habit of good health: health is wealth . A student must possess a good health by taking proper foods and health care. He should bear in mind that a poor man with good health is much happier than a rich man with ill-health.

Habit of discipline: discipline is the key to all success in life. A life without discipline is nothing more than life full of chaos and anarchy.A well-disciplined life makes the way of success easy. So he must follow the rules of discipline strictly in every sphere of his life.

Use of daily routine: daily life is the best life to succeed in life. We know that art is long, but time is short. The success and attainments of life largely depend on using this short time wisely, properly and effectively. So a student must follow a well-designed time table to reach the desired goad of his life.

Formation of character: character is the crown and glory of human life. A man of character is honored and respected everywhere by one and all. Student life is the best period the build up the solid foundation of character.He should possesses/makes the virtue of honesty,loyalty, fraternity, truthfulness and fellow-feelings.

Habit of hard work: life is not a bed of roses. It is like a battle to be fought valiantly. A student must work hard to win in the battle of life. He should remember ‘an idle brain is the devils workshop’ and ‘Industry is the mother of good luck.’

Love for country: love for country is a noble virtue of a man's life. A student of today will lead the nation tomorrow. So he must cultivate the nation tomorrow. So he must cultivate the virtue of patriotism from his student life and face all upcoming challenges with undaunted spirit and boldness.

Service for society: a student’s second duty is to render voluntary services for the welfare of the society. He can help educate the illiterate people, give them knowledge about health and sanitation, redress/should try to remove/reduce their sufferings during natural disasters, pursue them to adopt family planning, and motivate farmers to introduce scientific method of cultivation.

Duties towards humanity:
Service to humanity is the crying need of the hour. Nationalism is an utterly crude/vague term in the context of the modern times. The world is a family; this should ever remain on their minds.
In the world of today our lot is closely connected with the lot of people of every other country. Students should help in the formation of effective world public opinion against injustice,discrimination, tyranny of oppression in any part of the world

Avoiding politics: students are the future hope and strength of the nation. They should not spoil their valuable life by getting involved in politics.Very often they are used by powerful political leaders.But in return,they get nothing.If fair politics is available,only then they should engage/involve themselves to politics.But that isn't available in our county.So they should avoid politics in every way in student life.

Conclusion: student life is the foundation stone for the future struggle of life. This is why the students should try again and yet again and over again to come out successful. He should always act upon the maxim:

“Though you stumble off boys, never be downcast;

Dear X,

In your last letter,you wanted to know about the annual prize-giving ceremony of our school.The prize-giving ceremony of our school was held on last week.We decorated our school building beautifully on the occasion of the ceremony.The honourable Meyor was the chief guest of our school.The function began at 10 am. with the recitation from the holly Qur-an.Our Headmaster presided over the function.He called the winners and the meyor gave away the prizes.At the end of the function,the meyor and the headmaster delivered a short speech.

What is sport to one is death to another

Once there was a pond in a certain village.The pond was full of frogs.The frogs lived there peacefully.Some of them put their heads out and croaked loudly.One day some noughty boys were returning from school by the side of the pond.They heard the croaking of the frogs.

Suddenly they hit upon a plan.They collected some stones and began to throw them into pond.At this, the frogs went into the water.Some of the frogs were brutally injured and some were killed.After a while,the frogs put their heads out of water.

Then the boys started to throw the stones to them.And then the frogs again went into water.The boys continued throwing the stones to the frogs.They took it as a fun/game.They were enjoying it.

At last an old frog raised its head and said "Oh noughty boys!What are you doing?We are dying.""We are playing and enjoying it."the boys replied.Then the frogs replied,"What is sport to you is death to us.Please stop this cruel fun."Then the boys realised their fault.They apologised to the frogs and left the place.
